Flutter Developer

Job description

As a Flutter Developer at Vyavsaay, you will develop and maintain mobile applications backed by Node.js services and MySQL databases. You will convert product requirements and UI designs into responsive Flutter screens, connect them with secure REST APIs, manage application state, implement authentication and business logic, work with database-driven features and troubleshoot issues across the complete mobile-to-backend flow. You will also support testing, performance improvement, release builds and production maintenance for apps used by real businesses and customers.

Roles & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
• Build responsive, reusable and maintainable UI components that work consistently across supported screen sizes and devices.
• Integrate Flutter applications with REST APIs and handle authentication, request states, errors, pagination and real-time business data.
• Develop and maintain backend APIs using Node.js and Express for mobile application workflows.
• Work with MySQL databases to read, write, validate and manage application data through secure backend services.
• Implement application state management cleanly using GetX or other suitable Flutter state-management patterns.
• Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, notifications, maps, deep links, analytics, file uploads and other business APIs.
• Debug issues across the complete stack—from Flutter UI and network calls to Node.js logic and SQL/database behaviour.
• Improve app startup time, screen performance, API efficiency, memory usage and overall user experience.
• Handle form validation, authentication, secure local storage and sensitive user data using appropriate mobile security practices.
• Write and maintain clean API contracts so Flutter, backend and database layers remain predictable and easy to support.
• Use Git for source control and collaborate with developers, designers and product teams through structured development workflows.
• Prepare and test Android/iOS builds, resolve release-related issues and support deployment or store-release processes when required.
• Understand existing production logic before making changes and avoid regressions while enhancing live applications.

Skills & qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical development experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Flutter and Dart with experience building real mobile applications.
• Good understanding of Flutter widgets, navigation, asynchronous programming, lifecycle handling and responsive UI development.
• Experience with state management such as GetX, BLoC, Provider, Riverpod or a comparable architecture.
• Hands-on knowledge of REST API integration, JSON handling, authentication tokens and network error management.
• Working knowledge of Node.js and Express for developing or modifying backend APIs.
• Practical experience with MySQL or another relational SQL database, including joins, relationships and query fundamentals.
• Ability to understand the complete flow between Flutter screens, API endpoints, backend business logic and database records.
• Experience integrating push notifications, payments, maps, file/image uploads or other third-party SDKs/APIs is an advantage.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills using Flutter logs, browser/API tools, server logs and database inspection.
• Experience with Git and collaborative source-control workflows.
• Understanding of app performance, secure storage, permissions, release signing and mobile production best practices.
• Familiarity with Android build configuration and Play Store release workflows is preferred; iOS deployment knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail and the ability to safely work with existing production code.
